Our Story – The Heart Behind Apex Life Care CIC
Apex Life Care CIC was founded with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a caring, inclusive space where individuals feel supported, valued, and connected.
The idea was inspired by a deeply personal journey. Priya’s father lived with dementia for several years before he sadly passed away in 2023. Throughout his illness, Priya’s mother, aged 74, was his primary carer, managing most of his daily needs with only minimal support from local services. Despite her unwavering love and dedication, the challenges of constant caregiving were overwhelming.
As a full-time professional, Priya did all she could to assist with her father’s medical care, but she saw first-hand the emotional and physical strain it placed on her mother. As the dementia progressed, her father struggled to recognise even his closest loved ones, and the isolation, loneliness, and emotional burden became even more evident.
It was during this difficult time that Priya realised the importance of structured daytime support—a place where individuals like her father could feel safe, engaged, and cared for while giving their families the respite they so desperately needed. This vision led to the creation of Brenda’s Dynamic Day Centre, a welcoming space designed to promote independent living, social connection, and wellbeing for those in need.
